First, Mary-Kate Olsen and Nate Lowman attend the after party for Wool and The Gang’s U.S. debut and unveiling of The Smile Dinner Celebration hosted by Julie Gilhart at The Bowery Hotel on February 19, 2009 in New York City. Next, the Saks Fifth Avenue Launches New Contemporary Space on February 5th. Then, the Belvedere IX Launch Party on the 12th, and finally, the Vladimir Restoin-Roitfeld Presents David Mushegain event on the 17th.

Hey everyone.  I am incredibly sorry for not updating the site.  I had several people who were going to help out with updates, but for some reason they never did.  Anyway, there is another person who is interested.  So for today, here is a small update with some event photos.

Mary-Kate and Ashley’s Star on the Hollywood Walk-of-Fame was vandalized by anti-fur campaigners.  Read the article for the full story.

London, January 20 (ANI): Stars of actresses Sharon Stone, Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen on the Hollywood Walk of Fame have been smudged with the words “FUR HAGS!” by anti-fur campaigners.

While Stones star, received in November 1995, was smeared with OLD FUR HAG!, the actress twins” shared marker bared the words “FUR HAGS!”, reports the Daily Express.

Many other celebrities, including Gwyneth Paltrow, Socialite Khloe Kardashian have previously found themselves at the centre of controversies for wearing fur.

Activists supporting People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) have been on their feet to discourage the use of fur and protest against the torture inflicted on animals under the name of fashion.

And it has been commonplace to observe anti-fur demonstrations outside the A-listers signings and public appearances. (ANI)

Looks like Mary-Kate Olsen is the only actress in the family—for now.

In a recent interview with twin sis Ashley Olsen, the blonde revealed she’ll be focusing on developing the pair’s fashion empire.

“I like building brands, so for me it’s building the brands that my sister and I are working on, which are Elizabeth and James, and the Row. Once I have more time, then I’ll start looking at what else I’d like to do,” Olsen tells The Boston Globe.

“There’s obviously a lot of things I want to do, study, and continue learning about. But right now…I don’t have time to be stepping away to work on a movie,” she said.

Olsen, 22, also clarifies her involvement with actual fashion design, saying “we have a very small team, so we’re as involved as anyone can get. We’re working on it everyday.”

And for Mary-Kate’s part, it’s “up and down. It depends on our schedules, it depends on what we’re focusing on at the moment.”

She goes on to admit she’s been “a little more involved in the Row.”

Ashley’s last on-screen work was in 2004’s New York Minute, a hopeful resurgence for the twins’ wildly popular franchise. When the film failed to catch on, the sisters pursued other money-making projects under their company Dualstar.

Mary-Kate has been more active as a thespian lately, with appearances on Showtime’s Weeds and as Sir Ben Kingley’s lover in the indie The Wackness.
