Jane and Roxy are twin sisters who are totally opposite. They are seniors in high school and have totally different goals. Roxy's biggest fear is Max Lomax, the truant officer who has been after her forever. His goal is to catch her because she ditches school all the time and he is sick of her fake excuses. He ends up following her through the journey. Jane is supposed to try and get the Callahan Fellowship scholarship and Roxy plans to ditch school to go to the Simple Plan and give them a sample of her band's CD. A bunch of misfortunes turn their day in to entire chaos. Everything that can go wrong does go wrong. Because they both want to accomplish their goals, they begin to bond and actually feel like sisters again. And, of course, they both kiss some boys. Rent it to find out what happens. Does Jane get her scholarship? Is Roxy's band a success? Did Max Lomax ever catch Roxy?

Roxy Ryan: How exactly have you been looking out for me?
Jane Ryan: Are you insane? That's all I ever do. Ok, the one day, the one time I wanted to be about me for a change I get inducted into The Roxy Ryan School of Juvenile Delinquency!
Roxy Ryan: I have been trying to help you from the minute we left the house.
Roxy Ryan: A lot of good that's done.
Roxy Ryan: Where are you going? I'm not finished.
Jane Ryan: Yeah, well I am. Why don't you just go run along and have fun? That's what you're good at!
Roxy Ryan: As opposed to you? Just walking away whenever we start to have a real conversation.
Jane Ryan: I don't have time for a real conversation. I am too busy taking care of things!
Roxy Ryan: So who asked you to?
Jane Ryan: You did. The minute you stopped taking responsibility for anything since Mom died.
Roxy Ryan: That doesn't mean you get to be her replacement. You know what I miss most about Mom? That she loved that we were different! And you punish me for it. From the day Mom died you've done nothing but push me out of your life.
Jane Ryan: I have not.
Roxy Ryan: Oh, come on Jane. The biggest day of your academic career and you didn't even bother to invite me.
Jane Ryan: Well, forgive me for wanting the day to be about me for a change. I make honor roll and Dad doesn't notice because you're in detention! I'm elected captain of the cheerleading squad and Dad can't come to one game. One game! Because he's busy going to your parent-counsellor meetings. You want to know why I want this fellowship abroad? It's because it's 3,000 miles away from you.
Roxy Ryan: Well, I really hope you get it, then.
Goofs
-When the twins leap, mosh-pit style, into the crowd, they run towards the crowd, leap and do a half-rotation in midair so that they land on their backs. In the first angle, where they run towards the camera, they rotate in the opposite direction. (At one point their backs are towards each other.) While they are in the air, there is a cut to the reverse angle where we see them leap again. This time they rotate in the same direction so that, at one point, one twin is facing the back of the other.
-When Trey is locked in the trunk of the car and finally let out (after the trunk was opened) you can see the emergency safety release handle hanging down, which would prevent him from actually being locked in the trunk.
-Jane is supposedly competing for a four year scholarship to Oxford, but the majority of English undergraduate degrees (especially those at Oxford) are only three years long.
-When Max Lomax chases the twins through New York with the big van, at one point the twins think they lost him, but then they find out he's next to them. They turn to the right to look at him, but you can in fact see through the rear window that the van is actually still behind them.
-When Jane and Roxy are locked in the limo, there is a shot of them from outside the window and they are clearly visible. In the next shot, and throughout the rest of the movie, the limousine windows are tinted.
-When the girls climb from the sewer into the street, their clothes suddenly appear clean and dry. When they enter the House of Bling, they are back to dirty and wet.
-When Dr. Ryan signs Roxy's "permission slip", he signs it in red pen. When Roxy traces it onto her chicken pox form, the signature seems to have been made with a black pen.
-When Roxy and Jane are in the convenience store and ask to use the bathroom, the employee says it is for paying customers only so she picks up a little Tootsie Roll candy. but when the employee takes it off the counter, it's a piece of Bazooka gum.
-Throughout the movie, the girls are talking on t-mobile sidekicks the wrong way. They are talking, and listening, in the back of the phone, where their is no speaker or mic.
-In the beginning of the film after breakfast, the girls get into the purple beetle. The iPod is already in the dock before they get it but in the next shot, Roxy puts the iPod into the empty dock.
-While on the train, the lid on Hudson McGill's coffee cup pops off by itself before Jane knocks the cup of coffee into his lap.
-When crowd surfing, one of the girls has her hands near her head, but in the next shot they're on her skirt.
-Jane leaves her purse in the hotel but does not realize it through the rest of the movie even though it has her cell phone in it.
-The girls are supposed to be from Nassau County on Long Island. When they go to take the train to the city they get on the "Nassau Railroad." There is no such thing. They would have taken the Long Island Rail Road - and the movie's trains look nothing like the LIRR's.
-On the train near the beginning, Roxy is slamming the door to the bathroom and when Hudson McGill opens the door, she hits him on the chest, however he grabs his eye instead.
-When Roxy and Jane enter the House of Bling, the sewer lid seems to be closed, but when they cut to the scene where Lomax is looking for them, the lid is open.
